I’ve been writing poetry a bit over four years. Perhaps a few words about each poem would be appropriate as I begin this website. Tonight I’ll start with ‘Night Communion’.
‘Night Communion’ was my first published poem. About a nighttime walk in a forest along a worn path. Descriptions range from easy observations of a fox, rabbit, and owl & sounds of the landscape. I finish with the shared scene. Along the way I’ve chosen words using lots of soothing ‘O’ sounds - an internal rhyming. Just to start you off, look around for other subtle rhymes. How do they make you feel? Have metaphor and simile made this poem more than just a stroll?
